Gm's Geeps: The General Purpose Diesels (Classic Trains Continues the Golden Years Series)
Published in Paperback by Kalmbach Publishing Company (April, 2001)
Average review score:

Enhanced with additional technical illustrations and photosAn outstanding addition to Kalmbach's acclaimed "Classic Trains" series, GM's Geeps: The General Purpose Diesels is a beautiful, highly recommended photographic tribute to the first generation of bidirectional, accessible, all-purpose diesel locomotives as they plied North American rails from the end of World War II down through the early 1960s. An informative text is enhanced with additional technical illustrations and photos that will enable the dedicated railroad buff to spot the subtle differences between various production models of GP (for General Purpose) engines manufactured from 1949 to late 1963.

The Golden Age

K. Grahame Examines ChildhoodKenneth Grahame's rich, elegant writing make "The Golden Age" a joy to read and reread. While it is a story of children in late Victorian England, it is not a childish book. Rather, it is an examination of how children view the world and are confounded by the actions of the adults around them. Grahame had a wonderful knack for presenting the child's point of view without being cutesy or condescending - no other author has as successfully done this. Nor does he present the typical Victorian view that children are all little angels and always innocent. All adults should read this book - it makes one stop and examine one's priorities and will encourage you recapture a zest for life and imagination.

best lighthouse book ever writtenThis is the best lighthouse book I have ever read. It's jammed packed with information you would never find in any other lighthouse book. Strange and unusal tales, like the man who built many of our lighthouses and missed becoming presient by a matter of hours, or the man who ran our lighthouse service for 32 years is also the same man who saved the Declration of Independence. This is one lighthouse book you will want to have

The Golden Age of Chartres: The Teaching of a Mystery School and the Eternal Feminine
Published in Hardcover by Anthroposophic Press (February, 1988)
Average review score:

Esotericism in the WestBecause of his far reaching knowledge of Rudolf Steiner's Anthroposophy, and his personal aquaintance with the Grail researchers; Walter Johannes Stein, and Wilhelm Rath, Rene Querido is singularly qualified to address such a deeply significant subject as the School of Chartres. Being an author, and researcher into the mysteries of esoteric Christianity myself, I can only say that Rene Querido has provided students with an invaluable service by sharing his penetrating overview of one of the more difficult subjects to research. This is rendered all the more poignant by the central importance attributed by Rudolf Steiner to the School of Chartres - as one of the primary sources for deepening ones connection to the spiritually nourishing impulses of esoteric Christianity.
